Founded in 1974, the AHDA (inc.) WA is a non profit organisation formed to provide support to the Huntington’s community. The AHDA believes people with HD have meaningful and productive lives. Services focus on the quality of life and dignity of the individuals and their families.

On the 6th September 2009, over 400 school children attempted to create the longest human double DNA Helix to raise awareness of Huntington's Disease.
