ANZAC Dawn Service
Kings Park
ANZAC Day is always a popular event in Kings Park and Botanic Garden, with the State's War Memorial playing centre stage for the ANZAC Day Dawn Service on 25 April each year.
ANZAC was the term given to the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps soldiers who landed on the Gallipoli Peninsula early one the morning of 25 April 1915 during the First World War. ANZAC Day is a solemn day of remembrance, gratitude and national pride.
The Returned Soldier's League (RSL) invites you to attend the Dawn Service which commences at 5.30 am at the State War Memorial in Kings Park.
Vehicle access to Kings Park is via Saw Avenue or Poole Avenue, as Fraser Avenue will be closed from midnight until 9.00 am on this day.
For more specific ANZAC day information, please visit the Returned Soldiers League website at www.rslwahq.org.au.
